DESCRIPTION | An unusual French late 19th century brass bell clock on its original stand. The brass dial and chapter ring with enamel Roman numerals and winders for the eight day movement and chime. This rare clock is inscribed “DOMINUS VOBISAUM ET” the lord be with you, “ET CUM SPIRITU” and with your spirit. The clock with a horizontal support and column each side, the whole on a painted wooden base. The paintwork on the bases is chipped though age and wear. This can be repainted if desired. |
